Snow is expected to develop on Wednesday morning over the eastern Kenai Peninsula and become heavier by afternoon. Easterly winds through Turnagain Arm are also expected to increase on Wednesday and bring the potential for periods of reduced visibility along the highway due to blowing snow. Warmer air moving into the region will start to turn the snow to rain in Seward and Turnagain Arm Wednesday night and continue as rain into Thursday in those locations. For Turnagain Pass, precipitation is likely to remain snow through Thursday with periods of reduced visibility in blowing snow.
