A burst of snow is expected along a cold front tonight into early Wednesday morning, with snow levels at all valley floors. A quick couple inches of accumulation is possible, with locally higher totals. Periods of snow showers may continue through Thursday, possibly into Friday. In addition, very cold temperatures should be expected through the weekend. There is an increasing likelihood of an additional storm moving into the region late Saturday into Sunday. The details are still being ironed out, but this storm could present travel difficulties for the end of the holiday weekend as well. This storm coincides with one of the busiest travel periods of the year, and travel impacts may be significant.
