...Areas of Fog Affecting the Lower Texas Coastline...



At 730 am, Surface observations and webcams indicated that areas 

of fog are affecting the coastal areas of Willacy and Cameron 

Counties. These areas of marine fog are reducing visibilities 

down into the 1 to 3 mile range near the Laguna Madre and Padre 

Island.



These areas of marine fog will likely persist through the late

morning hours. The visibilities will then improve as the surface

winds start to increase from the northeast later today. 



Morning motorists in coastal Willacy and coastal Cameron Counties  

should slow down, use low beam headlights and maintain a safe 

following distance between vehicles when encountering the denser 

areas of fog.
