...A LINE OF HEAVY RAIN SHOWERS AND EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WILL 

AFFECT SCHENECTADY... SOUTHWESTERN SARATOGA...FULTON...NORTHERN 

SCHOHARIE AND MONTGOMERY COUNTIES...



At 717 PM EST, radar indicated a line of heavy rain showers and 

embedded thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 

miles northeast of Caroga Lake to near Canajoharie to near Cherry 

Valley. Movement was east at 45 mph.



Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail are possible with these 

storms.



Locations impacted include...

Schenectady, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Gloversville, Johnstown, Scotia,

Cobleskill, Canajoharie, Fonda, Glenville, Duanesburg, Ephratah,

Broadalbin, Hagaman, Schoharie, Mayfield, Sharon Springs, Fort

Johnson, Delanson and Galway.



This includes the following highways...

 Interstate 88 between exits 22 and 25.

 Interstate 90 between exits 25a and 29.

 Interstate 890 between exits 1a and 5.
