530 AM PST...



At 436 AM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8

miles southwest of Santa Monica, moving northeast at 10 mph.



Brief torrential rain with near dime size hail and winds in excess 

of 40 mph will be possible with this storm. Rainfall rates up to one 

half inch per hour are possible. With rainfall rates this high, 

there is a possibility for minor debris flows within the Getty and 

Palisades Burn areas.

Eastern Malibu...Santa Monica...Venice...Pacific Palisades...

Culver City...Beverly Hills...Manhattan Beach...

and West Los Angeles.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead

to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.
