At 552 PM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 

miles southeast of McFarland, or a few miles east of Shafter., 

Movement was northeast at 20 mph.



In addition to lightning and briefly heavy rain, Pea size hail 

may accompany this storm.
