...Freezing Drizzle Friday in Johnson and Natrona Counties...



Freezing drizzle continues to fall across portions of Johnson and

Natrona counties early Friday afternoon. Temperatures have been

hovering in the mid to upper 20s and the light drizzle falling

from low clouds has been freezing to road surfaces. 

 

The freezing drizzle may persist until the first few hours after

sunset Friday. The precipitation is then expected to gradually

change to snow Friday evening. This could cause further problems 

as the snow will accumulate on top of a hidden layer of black ice 

resulting in very hazardous driving conditions.



Impacted locations include I-25 north of Casper to near Buffalo, 

I-90 from just east of Buffalo to the Campbell County line, and 

area roads and state highways around Midwest, Edgerton, Kaycee, 

and Linch. Travelers through these areas should exercise caution, 

especially on bridges and overpasses, due to icy road conditions.
