HEAVIER PRECIPITATION ARRIVES LATE THIS AFTERNOON WITH RAPIDLY DETERIORATING ROADS CONDITIONS THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT... Broken band of light snow or snow showers will continue to move across northeast Wisconsin impacting mainly areas northeast of Green Bay and the Fox Valley for the rest of this morning. Although snow accumulations will generally be less that an inch, it will be enough to create slippery travel as temperatures will be near the freezing mark. Highway 29 has slippery stretches from Green Bay to Wausau from earlier light snowfall. Areas south a line from Wausau to Green Bay will experience a lull in the precipitation with perhaps some occasional light drizzle or freezing drizzle into the afternoon hours. Continue to be aware of variable road conditions in this area and slow down. Much heavier precipitation associated with the main storm system will overspread the area from the southwest late this afternoon. Travel conditions will deteriorate substantially during the late afternoon and especially this evening. Overnight into Sunday morning, widespread hazardous travel can be expected. Stay tuned for later forecast updates. $$ ESB
