...Slippery Stretches Possible on Some Area Roads This Morning...



As cooler temperatures begin to filter into the area, areas of 

drizzle and light rain are changing over to light snow and patchy 

freezing drizzle. A coating of snow and light glaze of ice is 

possible through daybreak. The Iowa Department of Transportation 

reports some slippery stretches developing on area roads. If 

traveling early this morning, slow down and assume that pavement 

that looks wet may also be icy. Bridges and overpasses will be most 

susceptible to light snow and ice accumulations.
