....BANDS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW THROUGH THE LATE AFTERNOON...



Bands of moderate to heavy snow are lifting across Schoharie

County, the northeastern Catskills, Helderbergs, Capital Region,

Hudson Valley of Greene and Columbia Counties and the northern

Taconics. Snowfall rates are approaching one inch per hour at

times. Visibility is being reduced to one half mile or less.



Travel is highly discouraged this afternoon, as the combination of

snow covered roads and low visibility will make for very hazardous

travel conditions. If you must travel, be sure to allow for extra

time to reach your destination.
