...A BAND OF HEAVY SNOW IN CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS AND NORTHERN 

CONNECTICUT...



At 315 AM EST...An area of heavy snow extended from Ashburnham MA, 

to New Braintree, to Stafford CT. This is generally about 17 miles 

west of Worcester. Expect poor visibility as low as one quarter mile 

at time, with snowfall rates up to 2 inches per hour. This band will 

slowly move east this morning. 



Locations impacted include...

Worcester, Leominster, Fitchburg, Shrewsbury, Vernon, Mansfield,

Windham, Plainfield, Gardner, Willimantic, Killingly, Holden,

Webster, Southbridge, Auburn, Ellington, Tolland, Oxford, Millbury

and Charlton.



Road conditions can deteriorate quickly in wintry weather. Be alert

for icy roads. Slow down and avoid braking suddenly. Allow extra

travel time.
