...An area of heavy snow will affect portions of eastern 

Massachusetts...extreme northeastern Connecticut and much of Rhode 

Island...



At 432 AM EST...An area of heavy snow extended from northeast 

Massachusetts into northeastern Connecticut. This band will 

gradually move east this morning. Expect poor visibility as low as 

one half mile and snowfall rates up to 2 inches per hour in the 

heaviest snowfall. Visibility will drop quickly as one approaches 

the heaviest snowfall.



Locations impacted include...

Boston, Worcester, Providence, Lowell, Cambridge, Brockton, Quincy,

Lynn, Newton, Warwick, Cranston, Lawrence, Somerville, Pawtucket,

Framingham, Haverhill, Waltham, Malden, Brookline and Medford.



Road conditions can deteriorate quickly in wintry weather. Be alert

for icy roads. Slow down and avoid braking suddenly. Allow extra

travel time.
