...A BAND OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN ERIE AND

GENESEE COUNTIES...



At 1150 AM EST, A band of moderately heavy lake effect snow will 

produce up to two more inches of accumulation across Genesee and 

northern Erie counties between noon and 2 PM. While the most notable 

accumulations will be found on grassy and elevated surfaces... 

untreated roads will be slush covered and slick. Motorists should 

allow extra time to reach their destination.



Locations impacted include...

Buffalo, Cheektowaga, West Seneca, Clarence, Batavia, Kenmore, Depew,

Tonawanda, Amherst, Lancaster, Williamsville, Darien Lakes State

Park, Grand Island, Le Roy, Pembroke, Akron, Erie Basin Marina,

Alden, Attica and Byron.



This includes Interstate 90 between exits 53 and 47.

 

Visibilities will drop quickly to less than a quarter of a mile in

this area of lake effect snow.
