COUNTIES UNTIL 1045 AM CST...



At 1003 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along

a line extending from 10 miles southeast of Amory to near Bent Oak to

Mashulaville. Movement was east at 35 mph.



Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with

these storms.



A wind gust of 40 mph was recently recorded at the airport in West 

Point, Mississippi.



Locations impacted include...

Aliceville, Vernon, Sulligent, Reform, Millport, Carrollton,

Pickensville, Kennedy, Ethelsville, McMullen, Bevill Lock And Dam,

Garden, Blooming Grove, Lamar County Airport, Crews, Bedford, Cody,

Dillburg, Shaw and George Downer Airport.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead

to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.



Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe

shelter inside a building or vehicle.
