Light snow will overspread the region through mid afternoon from west to east, with a coating to 2 inches of snow. Higher amounts would be north of the MA Pike, and especially north of Rte 2. Some locations in the high terrain of the East Slopes of the Berkshires may see localized 3 inch amounts. While snow amounts into early this evening will be light, this does look to coincide with the late day commute. Therefore, motorists planning travel across northern Massachusetts this afternoon and early evening should be prepared for slippery travel especially in the higher terrain. $$ RC
