...Fog Affecting Southern Hidalgo, Starr and Zapata Counties...



At 445 AM, Surface observations indicated that areas of fog, are 

occurring across portions of southern Hidalgo, Starr and Zapata 

Counties. Visibilities of 1 to 5 miles are being reported. Some

patchy dense fog at or below 1/2 of a mile could be possible.



These areas of fog will likely persist into the morning. The 

visibilities will then improve quickly after sunrise as the 

temperatures start to warm up.



Use caution if driving early this morning as visibilities may 

change rapidly in a short amount of time. Use low beam headlights 

and leave extra distance between your vehicle and others on the 

road when encountering the denser areas of fog.
