...SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT...



At 1026 AM PST, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong showers 

along a line extending from near Prunedale to Salinas to Carmel 

Valley Village. Movement was east at 10 mph.



Winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with these storms, along 

with moderate to briefly heavy rainfall. Heavy rainfall may cause 

localized ponding of water on area roadways.



Locations impacted include...

Salinas, Hollister, Soledad, Gonzales, Carmel Valley Village,

Ridgemark, Chualar, Spreckels, Prunedale, San Juan Bautista.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead

to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.
