Light Wintry precipitation possible across the Big Country... A strong cold front and an approaching upper level storm system will bring a period of colder and wetter conditions for all of West Central Texas. Rain should spread in from the west Monday evening and continue through around noon Tuesday, with rain totals around one half inch for many locations. After warm conditions on Monday, temperatures will fall into the 30s Monday night and then remain in the low to mid 40s on Tuesday. There may be a brief period of time around sunrise Tuesday along and north of I-20 where the temperatures may fall fast enough to allow a little light wintry precipitation to develop. This would be as a mixture of light rain, light snow, and light sleet. At this time, accumulations heavy enough to produce travel concerns are not expected and impacts are expected to remain small. However, if you are expecting to be traveling across the Big Country Tuesday morning you are encouraged to stay up to the date with the latest conditions as we get closer to the event. $$
