400 PM MST...



At 310 PM MST, Doppler radar was tracking gusty thunderstorms and 

outflow along a line extending from 23 miles east of Meeker to 20 

miles north of New Castle to 8 miles north of De Beque. Movement was 

east at 45 mph.



Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms. 

Temperatures will quickly drop behind this line with rain changing 

to snow in many locations. Watch for slick spots on local roads. 



Locations impacted include...

Rifle, New Castle, Silt, Parachute, Yampa and Battlement Mesa. 



This includes the following highways...

 Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 71 and 110.

 Colorado 13 between mile markers 1 and 15.

 Colorado 131 between mile markers 34 and 43.
