...SPOTTY LIGHT FREEZING RAIN WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN NEW 

HAVEN...NORTHERN MIDDLESEX AND NORTHERN NEW LONDON COUNTIES...



At 140 AM EST, an area of light rain was expanding into interior 

southern Connecticut. Temperatures in some sheltered locations were 

still below freezing, so spotty freezing rain is likely. 



Locations that could impacted include...Waterbury, Meriden, 

Middletown, Wallingford, Wolcott, Colchester, East Hampton, 

Hartford, Hamden, Cheshire, Cromwell, Griswold, Portland, Prospect 

and Lebanon.



Any freezing rain may quickly coat roadways with a thin layer of ice 

that may be undetectable. Please use extreme caution, especially on 

bridges, overpasses and around curves. Allow plenty of stopping 

distance and avoid braking suddenly.
