A strong cold front will move across Arkansas this afternoon and tonight. While high temperatures today will reach the 60s and 70s, over the next 24 hours, readings will drop 30-40 degrees in places. Temperatures will likely remain in the 30s across the central and southern portions of Arkansas during the day Tuesday. Precipitation will start out as rain late tonight, and will transition to a wintry mix in the northwest early Tuesday morning, and over central and southern Arkansas during the day Tuesday into the afternoon hours. Over the central and south, precipitation will likely mix and change over several times before ending by late Tuesday evening. Some minor sleet and snowfall accumulations are possible on grassy areas and elevated surfaces. However, warm ground temperatures should limit accumulations on area roadways, so impacts, if any, are expected to be minimal. $$ 57
