Patchy drizzle or freezing drizzle is possible early this morning across portions of east-central and far northeast Wisconsin. Temperatures are running right around or just above the freezing mark, which may lead to some slippery stretches across the area through the morning commute. The main concern will be on untreated elevated surfaces such as bridges and overpasses. Temperatures are expected to steadily warm into the mid 30s across the area by mid morning, allowing any slippery stretches to steadily improve. Colder air will arrive later this afternoon, allowing any precipitation to transition to light to moderate snow. Only minor snow accumulations are expected, generally in the 1 to 2 inch range, with the lowest totals expected along the lakeshore. Be sure to allow extra time for the morning and evening commute and stay tuned to the latest weather forecasts. $$ Cooley
