...FREEZING DRIZZLE AND SNOW WILL CREATE SLICK ROADS INTO 

EARLY THIS EVENING...



Freezing drizzle and light snow will change over to all snow

from west to east by early this afternoon. Snow, which may

be moderate to heavy at times will continue through mid

afternoon before gradually tapering off and ending late this

afternoon or early this evening for most locations except across

far northern Wisconsin. Snowfall totals of 3 to 6 inches are 

expected with the highest totals across Vilas County. The 

combination of freezing drizzle and snow will continue to cause 

roads to be snow covered and icy through early this evening. 



If you must travel this afternoon, slow down and allow extra

time to reach your destination.

Freezing drizzle or drizzle will continue for the remainder

of the morning and into the early afternoon hours. The

precipitation is expected to change over to all snow by mid

afternoon. Most locations should see 1 to 3 inches of snow by

early evening. The combination of freezing drizzle and snow will

cause roads to snow or ice covered through early this evening.  

Temperatures are expected to fall slowly well below freezing later

this afternoon, thus treated roads may become icy again.

...SLIPPERY ROADS ARE POSSIBLE LATER THIS AFTERNOON...



Light rain or drizzle along with areas of fog will continue

for the remainder of the morning and into the afternoon. The

fog may be locally dense near Manitowoc through early this

afternoon with visibilities around a quarter of a mile or less. 

Visibilities should improve by mid afternoon. 



The precipitation is expected to change over to all snow by mid 

to late afternoon across the Fox Valley and lakeshore region.

Snowfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected north of an

Appleton to Kewaunee line with less than an inch to the south. 

Roads may become snow covered and slippery for the late afternoon

and early evening commute. Temperatures are expected to fall below

freezing late this afternoon, thus roads may also become icy in

spots.
