...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHEASTERN DARE COUNTY...



At 1018 AM EST, a strong thunderstorm was located near Cape Hatteras

Lighthouse, or 7 miles east of Frisco, moving north at 30 mph.



Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this storm.



Locations impacted include...

Avon, Buxton, Avon Pier and Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause

localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.
