...Areas of slippery travel expected this afternoon across eastern

Vermont...



Radar and surface observations show an area of light rain 

expanding in areal coverage across most of northern, central, and 

eastern Vermont late this morning. Surface temperatures have 

warmed into the mid 30s most locations, however pockets of below 

freezing temperatures exist. This combined with very cold ground 

temperatures will result in areas of slippery travel this 

afternoon, especially on back country dirt roads and any untreated

surfaces. Temperatures are expected stay above freezing tonight, 

helping the ground thawing process.
