Rain mixed with snow may transition to snow for a few hours Tuesday morning from the Guadalupe Mountains, to parts of Southeast New Mexico and the northern Permian Basin. Warm soil temperatures and morning lows near freezing are limiting the potential for accumulating snows. The area most likely to have accumulating snow is above 7000 ft in the Guadalupe Mountains where up to one inch is possible. Snowfall amounts in Southeast New Mexico and the northern Permian Basin are expected to be less than one half inch. If the temperature forecast turns lower for Tuesday morning impacts from snow could be greater. Stay abreast of the latest forecast and possible changes. $$
