This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for western North Carolina.



.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.



A brief period of a wintry mix with light accumulations is possible

across portions of the North Carolina mountains late tonight. Please

see the Special Weather Statement...CAESPSGSP for details.



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.



Precipitation is forecast to develop across the northern mountains 

again late Thursday night into Friday. Sufficient cold air is 

expected to be in place to allow some of this to fall as wintry 

weather, mainly freezing rain. Light ice accumulations will be 

possible early Friday before the precipitation makes an expected 

transition to rain.

freezing rain across the foothills, northern Piedmont, and Blue

Ridge mountains of North Carolina, as well as the high elevations

of South Carolina. Light ice accumulations will be possible early
