...Patchy Dense Fog Over The Treasure Coast and Lake Okeechobee

Regions Early This Morning...



At 320 AM, Surface observations, satellite imagery and reports 

from law enforcement, indicated patchy dense fog had developed 

across Okeechobee, Martin, Saint Lucie and Indian River Counties. 

Visibilities is some locations were being reduced to around one 

quarter mile or a little less. The fog has the potential to spread

farther north into southern Osceola and Brevard Counties prior to

sunrise.



Motorists driving in these counties, especially those driving on 

I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, should prepare to encounter patchy 

dense fog this morning. Consider leaving early to allow yourself 

extra time to safely reach your destination. Be prepared for rapid

changes in visibility. If you encounter dense fog, reduce your 

speed, use your low beam headlights, and leave extra distance 

between your vehicle and the one in front of you.



Should the fog become more dense and widespread, then a Dense Fog

Advisory will be issued. The fog is expected to burn off by 

around 900 AM.
