...A BAND OF HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN 

CATTARAUGUS...SOUTHWESTERN ERIE AND NORTHERN CHAUTAUQUA COUNTIES...



At 413 AM EST, A band of lake effect snow producing snow fall rates 

of 1 to 2 inches per hour was located from near Westfield northeast 

to Silver Creek, and extending inland across the Chautauqua Ridge 

and Boston Hills. This band of snow will continue to move slowly 

northward through early morning, with deteriorating travel 

conditions across southern Erie County.



This includes Interstate 90 between exits 60 and 57, and Route 219 

from Boston to Springville.

 

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in lake effect snow situations. 

Be prepared for snow covered roads and very poor visibility. Slow 

down and allow extra time when traveling.
