...A BAND OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN CATTARAUGUS...

SOUTHERN ERIE AND NORTHEASTERN CHAUTAUQUA COUNTIES...



At 515 AM EST, A band of lake effect snow producing snowfall rates 

of 1 to 2 inches per hour will continue to move north from Dunkirk 

and the Boston Hills towards the Buffalo Southtowns. Travel 

conditions will deteriorate from south to north across the 

Southtowns early this morning. The lake effect snow will begin to 

reach the City of Buffalo and immediate suburbs between 6 and 7 AM.



This includes Interstate 90 between exits 59 and 55 and Route 219 

from Orchard Park to Springville. 



Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in lake effect snow situations. 

Be prepared for snow covered roads and very poor visibility. Slow 

down and allow extra time when traveling.
